Chapter 1 is the first chapter of Rainbow Friends. It was made by Fragment Games and was released on June 30, 2022.

The players start off on a trip to the amusement park "Odd World". However, on the way the bus takes a different path due to a shadow figure changing the direction of a sign pointing to Odd World. The bus crashes, leaving all the passengers unconscious. They are then dragged and kidnapped by an unknown figure to an abandoned entertainment facility, also known as Hemlock Woods. When the players wake up, the unknown figure asks the players to retrieve all 24 blocks scattered across the facility and put them back on a platform in the theater. After all blocks are retrieved, the night ends and Green enters Hemlock Woods to hunt down the players. The players rest until the next night.

Following night 1, the unknown figure instructs the players to retrieve 15 food packs around the facility. After the food is retrieved, Orange leaves his cave and starts hunting down the players inside Hemlock Woods.

On the next night, the unknown figure assures the players this is their last night and that, after they fix his machine, he will show them why they are really here. He also makes a comment on the vents having started to leak. The players are tasked to retrieve 14 the fuses to turn on a machine on the theater. After all the fuses are put into the machine, the unknown figure turns it on, but it starts to overload and cause the whole facility's power to shut off.

Following Night 3, the players are tasked with finding 9 batteries in order to power up the backup generator to restore the power to Hemlock Woods. The unknown figure also comments on maybe letting them leave afterwards. The player] are then given flashlights in order to see in the dark. After the batteries are collected and inserted into the backup generator, the power gets restored and the unknown figure allows the players to leave right after throwing them a goodbye party.

On the next and final night, the players enter the party room, and the unknown figure tells them to all get a slice of cake before leaving through the exit. To get to the cake, the players have to avoid popping balloons to avoid waking up Blue. Once all the players have reached the end, one balloon pops right before the doors opens and the players have to escape the facility while being chased by Blue. The players have to push blocks to drop the path to the vent. After successfully getting into the vent, the players have to escape through the vent with a few obstacles in it. After escaping, the unknown figure, revealed to be the Scientist, looks at the vent where the players escaped the facility.

- Chapter 1 was supposed to have more monsters, but these were removed so as not to interfere with the difficulty of the game.
