Overview
Orange's Cavern Coaster, also known as Orange's Crystal Cavern, is a roller coaster ride and is the location where the majority of Hour 5 in Chapter 2 takes place.
Appearence
The exterior of Orange's Cavern Coaster features a rocky mountain with a Cutout of Orange's Head on it. Infront of the coaster are some more decorations, like a watertower and some minecarts. To the side of the coaster entrance is a small wood shack, which leads into the employee room of Blue's Castle.
The interior mostly stays in the same style, featuring sand, desert colored rocks and wooden supports. This style dosen't stay throughout the whole ride though, and changes its style multiple times mid-ride.
After encountering Orange, the ride transitions into a Hemlock Woods themed area. Later on, the ride transitions into a Blue's Castle themed area, featuring a throne room, a garden, and a treasure room.
In Chapter 2
Orange's Cavern Coaster appears during the entirety of Chapter 2. During the first 2 hours, the coaster acts more as a decoration, as it inaccessible to the player. In Hour 3, the coaster is mentioned by the Technician. He states that they can move through the coaster's maintenance exit to escape from Odd World. In hour 4, the players successfully clear the entrance and enter it in Hour 5.
In Hour 5, the coaster is the location where the majority of the hour is spend. The players enter the minecarts and go through the roller coaster. Mid-ride, the Rainbow Friends catch up with them and try to ambush the players multiple times. The player's then exit the ride by going down the garbage shaft.
Trivia
- It's also the only place where Orange appears in Chapter 2.
- The ride goes by two different names, Orange's Cavern Coaster, when entering the ride from Odd World and Orange's Crystal Cavern, before entering the coaster waiting area.
