The Players are the main protagonist in Rainbow Friends.

Appearance
The players take the appearance of the Roblox Avatar of the person who plays as them. They are young enough to attend school.
Physical Abilities
Walking / Running
As expected, the players are able to run. Although not shown in game, the players are also able to walk normaly. Their running speed is faster compared to the monsters in Chapter 1, excluding Orange. In Chapter 2, their running speed is the same as most friends.
Strength
The players seem to have some strength, as they're able to push the blocks in Night 5 of Chapter 1 with ease.

The players are tasked mostly to collect items while avoid being killed by the rainbow friends. To avoid being captured, there are various hiding spots naturally found around the map they may hide in as well as a Box they can use at any time. They are capable of respawning into the game with Gems at any point until the finale.
Night 1-2
The players were heading to ODD World for a field trip. However, the Scientist flips the sign over and the bus turns the wrong way. The bus crashes and the players end up unconscious, being dragged into Hemlock Woods by the Scientist. After awakening, the players find themselves trapped inside a room in Hemlock Woods. The Scientist speaks to them through a speaker, saying that they need the players help. He asks them to collect his Blocks and rebuild his Block Tower. While doing so, they're getting chased by Blue. After rebuilding the Block Tower, the Scientist says that the players may get rest for the upcoming night.
The Scientist talks to the players again, saying that Green has entered the facility. On this night, the players have to collect Food Packs in order to feed the friends.
Similar to the last night, once all Food Packs have been collected, the players get some rest once again.
Night 3-4
At the beginning of the night, the Scientist says that he needs the players help one last time. He wants them to collect and insert Fuses into his Machine. He them alerts the players that the vents have started leaking.
They successfully to at the end of the night, however, the machine malfunctions and a blackout occurs. At the start of Night 4, the the Scientist wants the players to reactivate the Backup Generator in order to restore the power to Hemlock Woods. The players once again succeed and restore the power. The Scientist comments on this, saying that he's glad for their help. He says that he'll let them leave after throwing a last goodbye party.
Night 5
The Scientist greets the players to the goodbye party and says that they should get a piece of cake before leaving. They go through the party room and avoid Blue, who is sitting on the stage, while doing so. After reaching the cake, a balloon drops on a fork near the cake, which alerts Blue, who then starts to chase them. The players barely escape from Blue, only getting saved by a door who closes on him. The player, who now are stuck inside the forest, see Blue's Ferris Wheel in the distance. Seeing no other option, they climb over the fence and go towards it, initiating Chapter 2.
Hour 1
After walking for an unknown period of time, the players reach the back entrance of Odd World. Infront of the entrance is the Technician, who is trying to break into Odd World. The players run towards him and start to talk with him, telling him everything that happened. He dosen't believe them and says it's just their imagination. The Technician then offers them to help him find and activate the SOS Light. While doing so, they get chased by Blue and Green.
They activate the SOS Light at the end of Hour 1. The Technician then enters the Laser Tag Plaza, saying the players that he's impressed by their work. Before he walks by, the players tell the Technician to look over to Rainbow Racers. The Technician reconises Blue and says that they'll need to get out of here fast. To do so, they need to power up a Battering Ram and break open the garage door.
While preparing the Battering Ram, the Scientist informs the players that Yellow entered Odd World.
Hour 2-3
On Hour 2, the players have to collect 15 gas canisters in order to power up the Battering Ram. While searching for these, they're getting chased by Blue, Green and Yellow.
They successfully do at the end of the Hour and break open the garage door, together with the Technician. However, 10 Lookies fly out, knocking the Technician and the players out. After reawakining, the Scientist says that he'll kill the Technician using "explosives" if they don't collect the Lookies inside the time limit. This is what the players to throughout Hour 3.
After collecting, or failing to collect, all the Lookies in time, the Technician safely exits the Drop Tower. He says that he knows another way out of Odd World, which is through Orange's Cavern Coaster. However, a Giant Looky is blocking the entrance to the coaster. The Technician mentions that the Giant Looky would do anything for cake.
While they're discussing on what to do, the Scientist comments on Cyan entering, wondering why she's so interested in a bug.Hour 4-5 =
In Hour 4, the players goal is to collect 9 sugar packs and fill up the Cooking Station with them to bake a cake. They successfully do at the end of Hour 4 and distract the Giant Looky with said cake. The players and the Technician then enter Orange's Cavern Coaster.
After entering, the Technician instructs the players to pick a cart. He then says that they'll have to follow a cart full of Lookies to get to the maintenance exit. Mid ride, they get ambushed by the different Friends. To survive, the players have to go to the other side of where the friend is.
After avoiding all Friends, they fall down the garbage shaft. However, Cyan follows them down and proceeds to chase them down. The players then have to run away, similar to Chapter 1. They escape from Cyan by crouching under some metal bars. With no other choice, they proceed to take the elevator.
